PBS replaced water wall tubes in the Boiler’s upper water wall. Approximately 110 thin water wall tubes, 34 ft long, were demo and new tubes fit and welded. A total of 14,600 ft of membrane, and 400 field welds were completed for the successful installation of the 110 water wall tubes. A 3.5” thick-wall safety release valve was replaced and additional boiler repairs were completed. Over 10,000 man hours were expended on this project with zero injuries and zero time loss.
